Client Instructions for GBP Verification Step
General Guideline to follow to verify
your GBP
Everything you enter into form fields in the verification process
AND all materials you show in the video MUST have ONLY the
following matching information on them:
- Colony Insulation
- Phone numbers shown must match (586)850-1442
- 9345 Lakepointe Blvd, Clay, MI 48001(this will likely need to be provided in the
- form field before you record the video)
You will likely have to show the following within the video for the
highest success rate:
- Show the street sign at the end of the street
- Move to the house and show the address numbers outside
- Show the branded vehicle in driveway, show yourself unlocking and entering it
- Show the tools and/or the equipment you install (electrical tools, EV chargers, etc.) used to
- perform the service inside the van or otherwise showable
- Show you wearing branded clothing
- Show the installed EV charger in garage with brand sticker on it
- Go inside and show the following on a table in the home:
o Sales materials (like business cards)
o Business registration paper from Michigan
o Invoices, or utility bills
o Anything else the Google verification steps ask

When you’re ready to start recording the video:
- You will need to be at the registered business address when you record the video: 2270 Shore
- Hill Dr
- Use the Google Chrome app with location services toggled on
- Clear your cache and cookies on your cell phone on the Google Chrome app
- Your video must be at least 30 seconds long but no longer than 5 minutes
- Try recording the video at a lower quality on your phone such as 720p or 1080p instead of 4K
- Prepare and perform a test run to shoot the items listed above
- On your phone, ensure you are logged into the account that has access to manage the GBP
- profile
- Log in to business.google.com with the account that has access to the profile you are verifying.
- Click “Get Verified” and follow the steps
